A NEW BAR IN TOWN

Nestled between the Adonis Theatre and the Club Baths Cleveland on W. 9th will soon be another gay bar, The Vault. The bar opening, set for mid-October after final licensing is completed, will set the tone for the entire operation: quiet. According to manager Bob Leesberg, The Vault will be a "different kind of bar" where you can " get away from the

noise and confusion and have a quiet drink in a relaxing atmoshpere." There will be background music but no disco music or dance floor,

At the front of the building is the bar area, newly remodeled with a brick, wood and greenery motif, Drinks says Leesberg, will have "prices comparable" to other bars. If you are interested in something to eat, there will be a dining area in the back of the building. At the beginning there will be "partial food service," but ultimately, The Vault "mainly will be a restaurant" with both food and drink available.

When Leesberg, former operator of the Orchid Room and Change, was asked why he was opening a new bar, he replied, "What other business do I know? It's as simple as that!"
